Wines by Geoff Hardy is a portfolio of premium wines sourced from vineyards in some of Australia's most iconic wine regions including McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills, Langhorne Creek and the Limestone Coast. It is in keeping with the Hardy tradition of innovation, generosity and love of the Australian Terroir that we proudly present our family of wines for you to enjoy.

Carrying on a 160-year old family tradition in winemaking, Geoff Hardy has been pushing the boundaries of Australian viticulture for more than 30 years. He has always been at the cutting edge of trialling new grape varieties and you can see the results of this innovation at Pertaringa Wines in McLaren Vale.

The name Pertaringa means 'belonging to the hills' and originates from the local Kaurna indigenous language. Our cellar door, nestled in the foothills of McLaren Vale, is beautifully set amongst the gum trees with magnificent views and outdoor picnic facilities.

K1 by Geoff Hardy - Kuitpo Vineyard - Adelaide Hills - Australia

In 1987, Geoff Hardy - a fifth generation descendant of the South Australian wine pioneer, Thomas Hardy - finally found his ideal site for the production of outstanding cool climate grapes in the Adelaide Hills. The vineyard became known as the K1 Vineyard as this unique, groundbreaking site was the first commercial planting of vines in the Kuitpo (pronounced ky-po) region.

Today, the K1 by Geoff Hardy wines are considered to be amongst some of Australia's finest ultra-premium, single estate wines. Geoff and his family continue their work to keep it that way and to make sure that the K1 Cellar Door maintains its reputation as one of Australia's leading cellar door experiences.

The Hand Crafted by Geoff Hardy brand represents wines made from parcels of hand selected, premium fruit from the family's vineyards around South Australia. These vineyards include the K1 Vineyard in the southern Adelaide Hills, the Wirrega Vineyard in the Bordertown region of the Limestone Coast and the Angas Vineyard in Langhorne Creek. All of Geoff's vineyards were planted with careful site selection and canopy management for each variety.

The Hand Crafted by Geoff Hardy wines may be expressions of a single vineyard or regional blends representing excellent examples of South Australian viticulture and dynamic winemaking.
