Story: This unique Rosé is made from 80% Durif and 20% Pinot Noir from the K1 vineyard.
Vintage: The 2019 growing season started with mild weather and below average rainfall. Late spring rain provided relief from the dry conditions but unfortunately contributed to low crops due to the wet weather and windy conditions interfering with fruit set in the vineyard. A couple of hot days in January kept Geoff and the boys in the vineyard. Fortunately, this heat was too early in the ripening cycle to cause any damage to the fruit. After the heat subsided, we experienced a very mild and dry finish to vintage allowing good hang time and flavour development to the smaller than average crop.
Nose: Beautiful aromas of Turkish Delight, rose petals and strawberry are complemented by notes of candied orange rind.
Palate: The palate is juicy with flavours of watermelon and strawberries and cream, followed by a crisp, refreshing mouthfeel with great balance and acidity.
Food Pairings: Try this wine with a Thai red seafood curry.
Cellaring: Drink now
