Brand Info Shortly after leaving the family company in 1980, Geoff Hardy established Pertaringa, which has since continued to produce some of McLaren Vale's finest wines. The name Pertaringa means 'belonging to the hills' and originates from the local Kaurna indigenous language.

Story They say that a parent doesn’t have a favourite child, but Cabernet Sauvignon has always secretly been one of ours!

Vintage The 2018 growing season started slowly, but warmer weather eventually helped to speed things up. Fruit set throughout the region was good and the low rainfall and warm weather from January to April resulted in great sugar development, while a cooler than average March offered ideal night temperatures for colour and flavour development.

Nose The nose displays beautifully complex notes of blackcurrant, plums and menthol.

Palate The palate is vibrant with blackberries, plums and hints of eucalyptus with well-integrated tannins.

Food Pairings This is the perfect wine for a lamb on the spit or any other meaty main course!
