Brand Info The GMH brand name reflects Geoff's initials and was originally made for the Canadian export market, but is today exported to several countries and also sold domestically. The GMH wines might be expressions of a single vineyard or regional blends, and are all made from premium fruit from (sustainably managed) vineyards around South Australia.

Story  Meritage is an international term for a Bordeaux blend. This Meritage is made from four of the red varieties grown in the Bordeaux region of France: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec.

Vintage Spring and summer were cooler than normal with above average rainfall and the 2017 vintage happened much later than usual. The combination of those factors and dry weather for most of the harvest resulted in higher yields and excellent quality across regions.

Nose The nose offers delicate aromas of violets, plums and black cherries.

Palate The palate is beautifully complex with notes of black cherries, dark chocolate and subtle herbaceous wild berries, followed by a lengthy finish.

Food Pairings This is a very versatile food wine that will go particularly well with Mediterranean dishes.
